Dietlinde Behncke talks with Rüdiger Schöttle about his long gallery career, the discovery of once "young" artists and their development into internationally leading art positions, as well as his captivatingly unwavering eye, and with Christiane Pfau, a observer since the 1990s.
During this year's Art Basel, gallery owner Rüdiger Schöttle showed a round-up of the artists and works that define the tradition, the "today" and "yesterday", of the gallery's program on the occasion of his gallery's 55th anniversary. He presented positions that dealt conceptually, thematically and formally with spatial and temporal dimensions.
Christiane Pfau has been doing cultural PR for over 30 years for clients from the theater and dance sector, for music festivals and visual artists, and in between for architectural projects. In 2010, she founded the Münchner Feuilleton with her husband.
